Juelz’s New Movie And Mixtape….The Project

Juelz Santana is in a new indie film that’s making the festival rounds and it has an interesting premise. Its a documentary by Ryan Piotrowicz about 2 naive eagerbeavers trying to go shoot a doc about “life in the hood” (both kids and cops) and obviously, they get more than they can handle. (Sometimes when I hear about certain projects I wonder about the motivation behind the pen/camera too.) The film is called The Project, and there may be a private screening in the city soon. [Note: now that I think about it, it kinda reminds me of the plot of Black and White, which is one of my favorite rap-infused movies, lol…Robert Downey Jr and Mike Tyson FTW]

But in the meantime, Juelz and his Skullgang DJ Travisty made a mixtape for the movie.

Juelz Santana Arrested For Marijuana and Hollow Tips

Diplomats rapper Juelz Santana was reported arrested by The New York Daily News. According to the story, the rapper was entering his Glenpoint gated community in Teaneck, New Jersey, when a police officer smelled marijuana coming from Santana's Bentley.

Upon the stop, the 25 year-old Harlem-born rapper was found in the possession of several rolled blunts, a sandwich bag of marijuana and a sock filled with approximately 29 hollow-tipped bullets. Although Santana's present-whereabouts are unknown, he was detained, as was his vehicle taken, for being driven on a suspended license.

At the time of this incident, Juelz Santana had been recording his third album, reportedly called Born To Lose, Built To Win (The Reagan Era) for Diplomats/Def Jam Records. Last week, reports surface [click here...] that the Harlem, New York-based Diplomats might be disbanding due to ongoing disagreements with stars Cam'ron and Jim Jones. Amidst the recent talk, Santana, who has found the most consistent success in his two releases, has remained quiet.

BET And MMA Link For Hip Hop-Assisted New Show

Hip Hop and Mixed Martial Arts bump heads in the new BET original series, Iron Ring.

From the creator of Ultimate Fighting Challenge (UFC), Iron Ring showcases the full contact combat sport with a twist, this time around, incorporating some of Hip Hop's heavy hitters such as Ludacris, Nelly and Lil Jon.

The celebrity Mixed Martial Arts team “owners” will be paired with trainers and fighters battling it out in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), jiu-jitsu, judo, karate, boxing, kickboxing and wrestling while competing for a $100,000 grand prize.

With teams like WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather's, "Mayweather Boys", Lil Jon's “Head Busters”, Juelz Santana and partner in crime Jim Jones’ “Team Dipset” and T.I. leading “Team Grand Hustle”, Iron Ring will definitely be a concoction of Hip Hop, sports and Hollywood.

"When I heard BET was bringing Iron Ring to the air...I wanted to be involved in any way I could," said Ludacris, owner of “Team Luda."What people will get out of Iron Ring is that it's less about the man in the fight and more about the fight in the man."

Mixed Martial Arts is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing sports in American entertainment, and big name marketing partnerships including Sony Playstation's God of War, and Summit Entertainment's film Never Back Down wanted, to be a part its evolution.

Artists such as Rick Ross, Big Kuntry, Young Dro, DJ Drama and Alpha Omega are also assisting various teams during the competition.

"With Iron Ring, BET is delivering on our mission of providing a wide range of programming for our audience, while also creating another forum for black athletes to showcase their martial arts talent," said Reginald Hudlin, President of Entertainment for BET.

The 13 episode weekly series is set to launch March 18 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on BET.

Juelz Santana Hot 97 Interview "Me & Cam'Ron Got To Work Some Things Out"

RIP Dipset

Jim Jones been had beef with Cam. Juelz cant drop a cd bcuz Killa still is getting a check from that nigga and doesnt want to give free money up. Max B is tired of being treated like a Mexican (cheap labor, quality work and long hours, no offense). JR Writer could never pop bcuz he was always looked at as mini Cam. 40 Cal couldnt do anything after making a name with himself on MTV Fight Klub. Hell Rell was the next hard gangsta rapper but it just didnt sell. Shit everything people has told me about the Dips I argued and debated with. Now I really dont want to throw in the towel about the Dips being over. So drop Diplomatic Immunity 3 with videos with everyone next to one another.

Dam I fucking love them niggas to death, shit even over the Jay-Z beef with Cam, I was the only nigga riding say Killa is better then Hov. Jim was better then Nas, Jr Writer, 40 Cal, Hell Rell and Max B was better then D-Block. And when Stacks Bundles sign............ oh man I almost lost it because we had the dream team like when the Houston Rockets had Charles Barley, The Dream, Pippen and Clyde Drexel all on the same team. It was a sure thing niggas was going to be the shit because they already was doing there thing and made a name for themselves. But as I see it and still dont want to believe it, them niggas need to retire and each going in their solo ways.

First State Prop and the Roc broke up and now the wire is over, dipset is over, hov at def jam is over, Snoop doesnt write his own lyrics, Kobe and Shaq breakup, Michael Jackson doesnt live in America no more, no more Dave Chappelle show, Obama lost big in the primaries last night, Brett farve retired because he couldnt get Moss, Warren Sapp retired, AI got traded, Pats lost the Superbowl, Rogers Clemons and Barry Bonds took performance enhancers, Soulja Boy sales a million records, Shit whats next that havent already come to an end. This is America people and after watching 5 full seasons of the Wire all great things dont last forever, but dam for the most part 95% of niggas hated Dipset if you did a survey, so why couldnt these niggas last?
